What is APCO? Apco.(Public Safety Communications Officials Association) 2019 is the premier event for public safety communications officials and industry professionals. Over the course of 4 days, APCO 2019 will host educational sessions, committee meetings and special events, along with a series of exhibits from various organizations specializing in the communications industry.
When and where?
The Conference & Expo will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center, 1 W. Pratt St Baltimore, MD 21201 from August 11th to 14th 2019
The exhibition hall will be open during the second semester, August 12th for the 13th

Who will be there?
There will be over 5,000 attendees at this year’s conference representing a wide range of organizations. This includes emergency communications centers, service providers, law enforcement, fire service, emergency medical services, government agencies and commercial providers.
Why should I participate?
Education: Participants can earn up to 16 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) from 9 professional development tracks with over 100 one-on-one sessions focused around frontline telecommunications, leadership development, communication center management, cutting edge issues , technology and more. APCO Institute also offers pre-conference courses for more in-depth training.
Networking: Participate in four special events with unique speakers that provide an opportunity to learn and participate in industry building activities with fellow public safety attendees and exhibitors.
Exhibits: Representing a wide range of communications products and services, more than 275 vendors will be launching and showcasing new products, test equipment and meeting with conference attendees to discuss purchases, issues or for the network.
Involvement: Attendees at APCO 2019 will have the opportunity to participate in ECC
(Emergency Communication Centers) tours, career advancement sessions, healthy living seminars, as well as local blood drives. All conference participants will be invited to general business sessions and qualified APCO members will be able to vote and attend committee meetings. Fun: APCO 2019 attendees will have access to the APCO Block Party to meet other attendees and tour the city of Baltimore with special discounts for area attractions.

ABCP has extended the application deadline for the two grants to participate in the 64th Annual Conference of the Political Studies Association (PSA) in Manchester, England (14-16 April 2014). The new deadline is October 30th. This is due to the fact that it was not previously disclosed that it is necessary to be associated with ABCP and to be up to date with the payment of the 2013 annuity.
Candidates Profile:
– Doctoral students of graduate programs in political science;
– Professors of political science departments or graduate programs who have defended their thesis after October 20, 2008 (maximum five years of PhD).
Candidates must send the following documents to the email abcp cienciapolitica.org.br:

– Title and abstract, both in English, of the article to be presented (abstract in 10 lines)
Those selected must participate in the 3 full days of the event. They will pay no registration fee and will receive an invitation, free of charge, to the PSA’s “Annual Dinner”. They will also have their hotel expenses covered by the organizers (4 nights) and will present their article, in English, on one of the event’s panels. Support for the plane ticket will be partial.
At the request of ABCP, Prof. Claudia Faria (UFMG) briefly reported on her experience this year during the 63rd Annual PSA Conference in Cardiff, and recommended participation to all interested parties. In the letter, Claudia states that “the conference is extremely well organized and the reception of researchers selected by Political Science Associations from other countries is very welcoming” and that “the discussions were very enriching for the field of study I dedicate myself to, as well as for the improvement of the presented article.”
