National Info Days January/February 2009
In the light of the 2nd call for project proposals which was opened on 7 January the National Contact Points of the CENTRAL EUROPE Programme held their National Info Days in January and February 2009. The aim of these events was to inform potential applicants on funding possibilities and on news concerning the second call, but also to address project development and financial issues.
National Info Day in the Slovak Republic
Žilina, 12 February 2009
Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic organised the Slovak National Info Day on 12 February 2009 in Žilina.
The event strived to outline the possiblities of CENTRAL EUROPE Programme within the 2nd call for project proposals through presentation of Programme framework, success factors of project development and the process of evaluation, selection and implementation of projects.
The Slovak National Info Day which took place in the premises of the Žilina Self-Governing Region attracted 75 participants from all regions of the Slovak Republic.

National Info Day in Poland
Katowice, 9 February 2009
On 9th February 2009 Ministry of Regional Development in Poland organized its National Information Day focused on the 2nd call of Central Europe Programme. During the seminar the audience had possibility of learning about the present solutions prepared by the European Parliament aiming at facilitation of territorial cooperation – the information was presented by Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Regional Development - Mr. Jan Olbrycht. Besides presentation concerning rules of the second call, the programme framework and financial issues relevant for project applicants and participants, the examples of two projects approved in the first call were presented by the lead partners’ representatives. The event took place in the Marshal Office of the Silesia Region and attracted more than 150 participants from whole Poland. The next CENTRAL EUROPE Information Day for the northern Poland was be organized on 27th February in Olsztyn.

National Info Day in the Czech Republic
Brno, 3 February 2009
The National Info Day in the Chech Republic took place on 3 February in Brno.
The event strived to outline the possiblities of CENTRAL EUROPE Programme within the 2nd call for project proposals through presentation of Programme framework, success factors of project development and the process of evaluation, selection and implementation of projects.
The National Info Day attracted around 75 participants from all regions of the Czech Republic.

National Info Day in Slovenia
Maribor, 22 January 2009
On 22nd January 2009 Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning in Slovenia organised its National Information Day on the 2nd call of Central Europe Programme and a first level control seminar for Slovenian project partners coming from projects, which have been approved in the first programme call. Beside presenting the outline of the second call, the programme framework and financial issues relevant for project applicants and participants, project partners from already approved project in the first call of programme Central Europe and Alpine Space presented their experiences in developing and implementing transnational projects. The event took place in the premises of City of Maribor and atracted around 70 participants.
