Information on Application Process

The project proposals can be submitted to the CENTRAL EUROPE Programme solely during the period when a public call for proposals is open.

The interested applicants have to fill in all the necessary application documents and submit them to the Joint Technical Secretariat in Vienna, where the first conformity check is performed. Following the recommendations of the expert's assessments of eligible project applications, the CENTRAL EUROPE Monitoring Committee decides on approval and funding of the received eligible project proposals.

The CENTRAL EUROPE Programme plans to have 4 standard calls for proposals and one restricted call.

OPEN CALLS FOR PROPOSALS: First one was finalised in July 2008, second one in November 2009, the third one in December 2010. Altogether 96 projects were selected within these three application rounds. Fourth call for project proposals is open from 10 June to 14 October 2011.

RESTRICTED CALL: In addition to the open Call, the Programme launched also a Restricted Call for strategic projects. More information are available here.

Preparing a project proposal

When preparing a project proposal, please consult the Application Manual (individually prepared for each call) and check out the Frequently Asked Questions. Please, bear in mind that your project proposal should fit within the Programme priorities, identify tangible output, ensure durable results and respect relevant EU and national policies. For general inquiries or questions with national relevance, please contact the National Contact Point, for any additional questions the Joint Technical Secretariat stays at your disposal.
